McQueen’s skulls and snakeskins in eyewear campaign

The Alexander McQueen label has a long history of provocative and controversial campaigns, and the latest S/S 2010 eyewear campaign since the passing of the much-loved designer appears to follow in that route.

What stuns most is the bold choice of skull and death theme which features throughout – where patterns and skull motifs replace models.

The skull motif has played a significant role in the label’s history, while the snakeskin print is also now another signature of the label, providing the background to the McQueen-clad skull.

Below: A skull wearing the latest McQueen sunglasses is characteristically avant-garde.
